BLUE RODEO

Blue Rodeo is coming to Kingston, Jim cuddy and the boys will be at K-Rock Centre on Saturday, March 6th.

Blue Rodeo recently released "The Things We Left Behind", the band’s 12th studio recording. With 16 songs spread over two discs the new album is the band’s most ambitious recording yet. The album will be available in a number of different configurations including two CDs, double vinyl and a special iTunes LP, a digital package that will include interactive album notes, exclusive photos of the band and portraits of their most prized instruments, a song by song commentary from Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor and a special acoustic performance of four new songs from the album.

Motorcycle Ride for Dad Dance

Kingston-Quinte Chapter Motorcycle Ride for Dad will be hosting a dance at the Montreal St. 560 Legion. The dancing begins at 9pm to 1am, tickets are only $5.00 at the door. Appearing Live is ROTO-ZERO. All proceeds go towards the fight against Prostate Cancer. Please support your local chapter of Motorcyle Ride for Dad.


International Women's Day

All are invited to join us March 6th, 2010 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of International Women's Day - 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 2nd floor of City Hall.

Kingston Symphony presents Classics 101

Experience some of the most popular classical pieces ever written. If there were juke boxes or iPods in the 18th Century, this music would definitely be on them: Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Handel's Water Music, Pachelbel's Canon, Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, and Haydn's Surprise Symphony.

Violinist Gisèle Dalbec will be featured soloist in Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Veteran broadcaster Eric Friesen, will provide insight into each piece of music on the program, as the evening's host.

Kick up your heels with a dance is at the Royal Canada Legion Branch 631 in Collins Bay on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Jack Thompson radio personality on 102.7 The Lake will be spinning the tunes. A light lunch will be provided and admission is $18 per person (early bird fee) or $22 per person at the door. The dance/auction is from 8 pm to 1 am. This event is in conjunction with the Canadian Diabetes Association. Sponsored by Tompkins Funeral Homes and Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
