Motorcycle Ride for Dad Dance
February 27, 560 Legion
Kingston-Quinte Chapter Motorcycle Ride for Dad will be hosting
a dance at the Montreal St. 560 Legion. The dancing begins
at 9pm to 1am, tickets are only $5.00 at the door. Appearing
Live is ROTO-ZERO. All proceeds go towards the fight against
Prostate Cancer. Please support your local chapter of Motorcyle
Ride for Dad.
International Women's
Day
March 6, Memorial Hall, City Hall
All are invited to join us March 6th, 2010 to celebrate the
100th Anniversary of International Women's Day - 1:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 2nd floor of City Hall.
There will be entertainment
featuring: Girlz Like That, Kingston Area Raging Grannies,
Dance Pulse, the Calamity Janes, Gillian Shields, Shout Sister!,
the Caledonias and more!

children’s activities, 100 years of herstories, and

presents Classics 101
March 27, Grand Theatre
Experience some of the most popular classical pieces ever
written. If there were juke boxes or iPods in the 18th Century,
this music would definitely be on them: Vivaldi's Four Seasons,
Handel's Water Music, Pachelbel's Canon, Bach's Brandenburg
Concerto No. 3, and Haydn's Surprise Symphony.
Violinist Gisèle
Dalbec will be featured soloist in Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
Veteran broadcaster Eric Friesen, will provide insight into
each piece of music on the program, as the evening's host.

Recipe for Disaster
March 28, Chez Piggy
Chez Piggy presents a Recipe for Disaster, an evening of food
idioms by food idiots. You’ll be served six amazing
courses with tasty locally made brew and wine. A silent auction
will take place and guest speakers and authors will share
stories and more. Tickets are $150 dollars per person. All
proceeds benefit the Kingston Literacy and Family Literacy

Easter Seals Awareness
Month
March
March is Easter Seals Awareness Month! It is a fundraising
and awareness campaign for kids with physical disabilities.
During March communities across the province fundraise and
create awareness through events such as Paper Eggs Campaign
& Penny Power, which lead up to the Telethon in April
2010.

Kick up your heels with
a dance is at the Royal Canada Legion Branch 631 in Collins
Bay on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Jack Thompson radio personality
on 102.7 The Lake will be spinning the tunes. A light lunch
will be provided and admission is $18 per person (early bird
fee) or $22 per person at the door. The dance/auction is from
8 pm to 1 am. This event is in conjunction with the Canadian
Diabetes Association. Sponsored by Tompkins Funeral Homes
and Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
